A Chinese delegation with over 30 investors recently visited Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) Ltd — India’s first 270-acre state-of-the-art medical devices manufacturing park with single window processing, common precision manufacturing facilities, reliable grid power and water availability, set in a scenic location of Visakhapatnam.
The delegation was led by Jessie Wei, Co-founder of SKK-JW Associates, and was facilitated by Surinder Kalra, Co-Chairman, Foreign Trade and Investment Committee, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The three hours’interactive session on December 9 had the Chinese delegates discuss about various investment opportunities with AMTZ senior management led by Dr Jitendar Sharma, Director and CEO, AMTZ.
The delegation was familiarised with the various scientific facilities available at AMTZ. The background work and support available for the medical devices manufacturers impressed the delegates who were astounded by the AMTZ package.
One important feature which attracted the attention of the delegates was the presence of empanelled partners for technology transfer, human capital management and financial support.
The delegation was impressed upon with the various benefits of starting the manufacturing units at AMTZ. Appreciating the noble intentions of AMTZ, a delegation member aptly pointed out that “the speed and noble intention with which AMTZ is focused and moving ahead, it is bound to greater success bringing benefit to the global economy”.
AMTZ has already announced bookings of factories at a refundable fee of Rs 6,250, Rs 12,500 and Rs 25,000 for a 0.25 acre, 0.50 acre and 1 acre manufacturing unit, respectively. AMTZ has been receiving bookings continuously since the launch of booking on October 2.
