Naidu Hot Sells Make In India @ AP To Swiss Medtech In DavosPublish Date : Jan 24, 2018
On the second day of the trip to Davos, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met with delegates of Medtech Innovation Centre, a Swiss based venture investor, specializing in the healthcare sector.
The delegation included Chairman of Medtech Innovation, Dr. Felix Gresard, Board of Director Dr. Hans Florian and CEO Dr. Christoph Kausch.
Medtech Innovation Centre has already signed an MoU with Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board last year and aim to bring close to 150 companies to Andhra Pradesh.
Officials reported that the progress has been great till now and a letter of intent with about 50 companies have already been signed.
As a part of their phase one, they have already lined up 60 companies and at the end of phase two, all the 150 companies are expected to set up base in Andhra Pradesh.
The Medtech delegation informed the Chief Minister that their primary aim is to create an eco system where companies can flourish. He was also informed that they will be starting with the European segment of the Vizag Medtech Park and will eventually go on to establish their own independent park.
This move is expected to bring employment to 45 to 50 thousand highly skilled technicians and scientists.
