The ICMR-DHR-Large Animal House Facility, Center of Excellence at AMTZ is built in a 10,000 sq. ft space as per GLP norms in compliance with ISO 14644-1 for Class 8 and Class 7, with the non-classified area maintained with highest standard of material and process flow. The Large Animal House Facility has the capacity to conduct research studies with two different species of large animals in a separate containment with respective isolation, holding and quarantine rooms. The Facility also includes a fully equipped Operation Theatre, a Surgery and Pre-surgery room, General lab, an Invitro lab, Clinical chemistry lab, a Histopathology lab, Multipurpose clean rooms, Animal run area, Feed Store, Faecal store, Bedding store and a Necropsy zone and a Test Item Control Office installed with requisite equipment The Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) has been constituted and the facility is registered with the CPCSEA The facility is equipped to conduct Medical Device testing and Surgical models, Regulatory and Non-regulatory toxicology studies and DMPK Studies
